Fall has always been one of my favorite times of the year. I love the changing of the leaves, the crispness in the air.

Being that I was raised in California, I never got to experience the beauty of the changing seasons.

I am glad my kids are able to experience and appreciate the wonder of the 4 seasons we experience here in Ohio.

Beaver Creek State Park

Beaver Creek State Park

Scioto Trail

Ohio

Beaver Creek State Park is almost in my back yard. The kids love to go there to feed the ducks. Every year they have what is called Pioneer Days. Crafters set up their stands all over the park selling their handmade goods.

During this time, you are able to tour through the old log buildings they have throughout the park. We love touring the log buildings, because our home is a 200 year old log home, and we like to see the differences in the buildings.

Another Ohio wonder is the Buckeye tree. We are lucky enough to have one right in our frount yard.

Every year, the kids go out & pick up buckeyes off the ground to play with and show their class. The buckeye is inside the big bumpy things you see in the picture.

This year while we were out picking buckeyes, one of thoes big things dropped from the tree and hit me right in the head. It just about knocked me out! *BG*
