Triple Effect Frame

This tutorial was written in PSP version 7.04 and assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP at a intermediate level. Tools needed for this tutorial is as follows. 30 day trial version of Paint Shop Pro you can get here. This gold pattern. Right click and save to your hard drive. Image of choice. Okay, let's get started! Step 1. Open a new image 350x350, transparent. Step 2. Go to selections> select all. Now go to selections> modify contract by 35.
Step 3. Go to selections> Invert. Open your gold pattern in PSP, now change your foreground to "pattern", and locate your gold pattern. It should be at the top. Flood fill.
Step 4. Now go to Effects> Edge> Dilate and apply.
Step 5. While still selected, apply a inner bevel using these settings. Then deselect.
Step 6. Duplicate your frame by hitting "shift" then "D". Step 7. On your duplicated image, go to Image> resize and resize by 85%. Make sure "resize all layers" is UNCHECKED. Then sharpen your image by going to Image> sharpen> sharpen. Step 8. Still on our duplicated image, go to Edit> Copy. Activate your original frame, Edit> Paste as new layer. Now you have added a smaller version of your original frame inside.
Step 9. Now back on our duplicated frame, the one we just made smaller, we are going to resize one more time. Go to Image> Resize and resize by 85% making sure "All layers" is UNCHECKED. Sharpen your image. Image> Sharpen> Sharpen. Step 10. Still on our duplicated frame, go to Edit> Copy. Activate the original frame, Edit> Paste as new layer. Now go to Layers> Merge visible.
Step 11. Open your image you are using to fill your frame. Grab your magic wand and click in the middle of your frame.
On your image, Edit> copy. Activate your frame, Edit> Paste into selection. Deselect. You're done! I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions, e-mail me any time.
